A SET OF STANDARDS CONCERNING HEAT PUMPS HAS BEEN RECENTLY PUBLISHED BY AFNOR AND SOME OTHERS ARE IN PREPARATION. THE METHODS OF TESTING THE PERFORMANCE AND THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR UNITARY HEAT PUMPS ARE DESCRIBED. THREE TEST RIGS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED SIMULTANEOUSLY IN THE CETIAT LABORATORIES. UP TO NOW, 80 MODELS HAVE BEEN TESTED. ACOUSTIC REGULATIONS ARE UNDER STUDY.
