Summary

A kind of Stirling-Rankine hybrid cycle was presented to degrade the working gas mean pressure which delay Duplex Stirling heat pump and Vuilleumier heat pump for commercial use. Propane is used for the working medium under some considerations. The features of this kind of cycle have been indicated by computation. A prototype has been introduced and some advantages of this heat pump show the prospect for commercial use.
