HE SUCCESSIVELY STUDIES PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROBLEMS (SUPERCOOLING, DECANTING THE ANHYDROUS SALT, LOW CRYSTALLISATION RATES, WATER REMOVAL), HEAT EXCHANGE, RELIABILITY AND COST REQUIREMENTS. HE DISCUSSES THREE DOMAINS OF APPLICATION: STORAGE TEMPERATURE RANGING BETWEEN 268 AND 243 K (-5 AND -30 DEG C) (50 TO 80 KWH/M3), AT 273K (0 DEG C) (90KWH/M3) AND BETWEEN 283 AND 303K (10 AND 30 DEG C) (70 TO 100KWH/M3). HE GIVES TWO EXAMPLES FOR AIR CONDITIONING AND FOR SPACE HEATING IN AN AUTONOMOUS POWER STATION WITH THERMAL ENGINES. L.R.
