Stratified air conditioning of large spaces with high heat loads.
Author(s) : KING A. R., KRONFALT M., CLEMENTS R. F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
High spaces can, under certain conditions, be air-conditioned by the supply of fresh air at low level, and exhausting at high level with no recirculation. The supply air is closer to body temperature, since the internal heat load is exhausted. Inlet air must not disturb the upper warm strata. General conditions, limits and control methods are suggested. A mathematical model predicts energy levels. A.R.T.
