STUDIES ON THE ENHANCEMENT OF FORCED CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER IN THREE-DIMENSIONAL RIB-ROUGHENED TUBES. 2. STAGGERED ARRANGEMENT.
[In Japanese. / En japonais.]
Author(s) : MABUCHI I.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE RESULTS OBTAINED SHOW THAT THE AVERAGE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT, IN THE STAGGERED ARRANGEMENT DECREASES FURTHER THAN THAT IN THE IN-LINE ARRANGEMENT UNDER 6 RIBS, BUT IS INDEPENDENT OF THEDIFFERENCES IN RIB ARRANGEMENT ABOVE 6 RIBS THE THERMAL PERFORMANCE IN THE STAGGERED ARRANGEMENT IS LESS THAN THAT IN THE IN-LINE ARRANGEMENT. THESE CHARACTERISTICS DEPEND ON THE BEHAVIOUR OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL REATTACHMENT FLOW DOWNSTREAM OF THE RIB. (JSME INT. J., JP., 30, N 269, 1987/11, 1862.
