Summary

A MOCK-UP COOLING TOWER WITH AN EJECTOR WORKING ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLE OF THE JET UNIT USING AN EJECTION EFFECT WAS STUDIED. A TANGENTIAL JET EJECTOR WAS USED. THE TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT UNDER VARIOUS THERMAL AND HYDRAULIC LOADS. THE TEST RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH THE AVAILABLE DATA ON THE GPV-10M COOLING TOWER EQUIPPED WITH A FAN AND THOSE OF GPV-20 EXPERIENCE UNDER IDENTICAL PRACTICAL CONDITIONS OF THERMAL AND HYDRAULIC LOADS IN OPERATION. THE GOOD POTENTIALITIES OF THE USE OF SMALL EJECTOR COOLING TOWER ARE SHOWN, ESPECIALLY IN TOWN SITES WITH HIGH POPULATION DENSITY.
