AN AIR COOLER WITH A PSEUDO-LIQUEFIED LAYER WAS STUDIED. A TEST PLANT AND A TEST PROCEDURE ARE DESCRIBED. THE FROST FORMATION PROCESS IN THE UNIT IS STUDIED. IT WAS ESTABLISHED THAT, UNDER FROST CONDITIONS, IT OPERATES WITH CONSTANT HYDRODYNAMIC AND THERMAL RESISTANCES.
