Study of fractionation of refrigerant blends in contact with lubricants and measurement of the solubility, density, and viscosity.

Summary

The fractionation of two refrigerant blends was studied using the gas equilibrium method. The amount of fractionation was measured by maintaining a constant composition of the refrigerant gas vapour over the lubricant, which was equal in composition to the liquid refrigerant gas blend introduced into the viscometer. The polyolester chosen for the study was a 32 ISO-VG complex branched acid pentaerythritol product. Smoothed graphical data are presented.
