Summary
The heat pump system with flash-tank can effectively improve the efficiency and reliability of air-source heat pumps running in a low temperature environment. Based on a scroll compressor with flashtank, the authors designed a unit suitable for cold regions. The whole match of heat pump will be reached by adjusting components such as capillary and setting an appropriate control scheme. The prototype is installed in the Beijing region for testing, and the results show that its operation is reliable and durable and its heating capacity and energy efficiency ratio (EER) are improved, and meet the heating need in winter for cold regions.
