Study on CO2 hydrate slurry production with additives.

Number: pap. 071

Author(s) : LIU N., CHEN W., DAI H.

Summary

In this study, a CO2 hydrate slurry production system is established. The effect of additives SDS and TBAB on CO2 hydrate slurry production and antiagglomeration are investigated. The morphology of CO2 hydrate slurry observed. The results show that non-full liquid system is favourable for hydrates production with lower induction time and overpressure compared with full liquid system. SDS can promote hydration slurry production but it shows less effect on reducing hydrate slurry agglomeration. While with the concentration of 0.25%, TBAB shows good performance for hy-drate formation and antiagglomeration.
