Summary
The authors analyze the influence of factors such as the cooling surface, air flow and time on frosting of the heat pump units. They also study the effect of frosting on the evaporating temperature and the air flow rate of the unit. They found that after frosting the flow passages between the fins blocked, the resistance to heat transfer of the evaporator increased, the evaporating temperature dropped and the operating conditions of the compressor worsened.
