Summary

THE REPORT DESCRIBES EXPERIMENTS ON AIR COOLING-TYPE, SINGLE-S TAGE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING CYCLES AND CORROSION INHIBITION OF CARBON STEEL, WITH THE AQUEOUS MIXED SOLUTIONS OF LITHIUM BROMIDE AND CALCIUM CHLORIDE USED AS ABSORBENT. IT IS SURE THAT THIS CYCLE CAN PRODUCE A COOLING SOURCE AT 7 DEG C WITHOUT CRYSTALLIZATION OF ABSORBENT AT AIR COOLING CONDITION (WITH A COOLING TEMPERATURE OF THE ABSORBER OF OVER 36.5 DEG C) BY MEANS OF THE ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE WITH 14 KILOWATTS OF COOLING CAPACITY. THE MIXTUEAR N0 BENZOTRIAZOLE, HAD THE SAME CORROSION INHIBITION AS CONVENTIONAL ABSORBENT (LITHIUM BROMIDE), AND HAD A WEIGHT LOSS OF 4 G/M2 AT 100 DEG C, AND 65 % AFTER 1,000 HOURS.
