A 250 DM3 SUBCOOLED CRYOSTAT SYSTEM FOR SUPERFLUID HELIUM WAS DESIGNED AND BUILT FOR A HYBRID MAGNET. THE CRYOSTAT, WHICH HOUSES A 430 MM BORE, 12 T NIOBIUM-TITANIUM SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET, HAS A REFRIGERATION CAPACITY OF ABOUT 20 W AT 1.8 K.
