Superconductivity above 100 K in compounds containing mercury.

Summary

Several members of a new family of (mercury, thallium)-(barium, strontium)-CCO high-temperature superconductors have been synthesized. These compounds, which are analogs to the mercury-barium-calcium- and thallium-barium-calcium- layered cuprates, are multiphased and have superconducting transition temperatures above 100 K.
