Summary
HEAT EXCHANGE ON THE BOILING OF R12 ON BUNDLES OF PLAIN TUBES IN 30 1-M HIGH ROWS WAS STUDIED. THE EFFECT OF BOILING TEMPERATURE, DENSITY OF HEAT FLOW, NUMBER OF ROWS ON THE SURFACE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF THE BUNDLE IS SHOWN. A COEFFICIENT WAS OBTAINED, ALLOWING FOR THE HEAT TRANSFER DIFFERENCE OF THE BUNDLE AND THE INDIVIDUAL TUBES FOR VARIOUS BOILING TEMPERATURES. A FORMULA IS SUGGESTED FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE AVERAGE SURFACE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF THE BUNDLE.
