Summary

IFFI uses a teaching test rig comprising five plate heat exchangers operating with a screw compressor using R404A. This rig enables students to study the behaviour of direct-expansion exchangers under flooded or recirculating conditions. Initial results demonstrated that performance varies only slightly according to rig feeding.
