Summary
Trends in development of the packaging industry in Poland are presented. Special attention is paid to protective and applied functions of food products packagings. New solutions in the field of packaging materials and design are also presented. The examples of effects of used packaging on the environment as well as methods of protecting the consumers against poor-quality products are also given.
