Summary
Very popular and efficient technologies for preserving foods are refrigerating and freezing. But these methods are not sufficient to assure high product quality during logistic operations such as storage and transportation. During these operations, food products are exposed to the detrimental influence of the external environment, from which protection is provided by suitable packaging.
