Summary

THE DESCRIBED TEST WAS CARRIED OUT WITH THE PURPOSE OF REFRIGERATION (PRESERVATION OF FOODSTUFFS OR AIR CONDITIONING WITH NATURAL CONVECTION) IN DESERT AREAS, WITHOUT MOVING PARTS, BY MEANS OF A SOLAR COLLECTOR. THE SYSTEM IS A WATER CYCLE, BY ADSORPTION/DESORPTION ON 13X-ZEOLITE WITH AN EVAPORATOR OR A CONDENSER (WATER OR AIR). ICE PLAYS THE ROLE OF A COOLING BUFFER AND MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO MEASURE REFRIGERATION. OPERATION IS INTERMITTENT WITH 24 HR DAY/NIGHT CYCLES. TWO UNITS WERE TESTED IN SITU AND WITH ARTIFICIAL INSOLATION; THEY ARE DESCRIBED WITH CURVES, TABLES OF RESULTS AND HEAT BALANCES. L.R.
