Summary

THE PURPOSE OF TESTING HEAT PUMPS IS DETERMINING LIMIT CONDITIONS OF APPLICATIONS FOR VARIOUS TYPES OF HEAT PUMPS AND THEIR PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS WITHIN THESE OPERATING LIMITS. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO BASE OFFICIAL TYPE TESTS ON DIN 8900. THE TESTS OF APPLICABILITY LIMIT CONDITIONS ARE TIME AND WORK CONSUMING AND IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO SIMULATE THEM USING A COMPUTER AND TO VERIFY SELECTED POINTS BY EXPERIMENTAL MEASUREMENTS. REQUIREMENTS FOR A TYPICAL HEAT PUMP TESTING LABORATORY ARE GIVEN.
