TESTS AND SIMULATION OF A SOLAR ASSISTED WATER-WATER HEAT PUMP.

ESSAIS ET SIMULATION D'UNE POMPE A CHALEUR EAU-EAU HELIOASSISTEE.

Author(s) : MULAPI W.

Summary

THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF A SOLAR ASSISTED HEAT PUMP DURING A YEAR ARE VERY DIFFERENT. THE EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE IS TIED TO THE STORAGE TANK TEMPERATURE AND THE CONDENSING TEMPERATURE MUST CONFORM TO THE HEATING REQUIREMENTS FOR OPTIMIZING THE COP IN EACH CASE. A WATER TO WATER HEAT PUMP IS STUDIED WHEN THESE TWO TEMPERATURES CHANGE OVER A WIDE RANGE. A COMPUTER MODEL GIVES THE OPERATING POINT WHEN THE WATER FLOWS AND THEIR INLET TEMPERATURES TO THE EVAPORATOR AND CONDENSER ARE GIVEN. IT TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE NATURE OF THE CYCLE, THE COMPRESSOR CHARACTERISTICS AND THE EFFICIENCY OF EACH EXCHANGER.
