Summary

A screen cooling system was developed for small cold rooms. The layout of the system in a cold room is presented, along with the position of the thermocouples for measuring the temperature during tests. The heat-exchange properties of the cooling system were determined in steady-state conditions. The coefficient of heat transfer and the aerodynamic parameters of the system were determined. The results of the tests showed that the processes of chilling and freezing of food can be intensified, and operating costs can be lowered. C.C.
