Summary

THE PROTOTYPE SYSTEM WAS SUBJECTED TO FIRE TESTS, PLUS ITS SUSCEPTIBILITY TO NON-FIRE EFFECT TESTS WAS DETERMINED. THE RESULTS WERE ANALYZED BY A COMPUTER TO DETERMINE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIFFERENT ALGORITHMS IN DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN THE FIRE AND NON-FIRE SITUATIONS. PROVIDES CONCLUSIONS CONCERNING FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB. , 22, N 4, 1987, 15, 87-01177.
