Summary

THE COLD ACCUMULATOR IS A HORIZONTAL OR VERTICAL TANK CHARGED WITH WATER OR A EUTECTIC LIQUID AS A STORAGE MEDIUM FOR A REFRIGERATION LOAD. DURING PHASE CHANGE A COMPACT ACCUMULATION OF ENERGY TAKES PLACE UP TO 325 MJ/M3. THE CHOICE OF THE EUTECTIC DETERMINES THE STORAGE TEMPERATURE BETWEEN -3 AND -38 DEG C WITH WATER AT 0 DEG C. THE COMPRESSORS DO NOT RUN UNDER PART LOAD CONDITIONS. THE MAIN ADVANTAGES HOWEVER OCCUR WITH THE USE OF A COLD ACCUMULATOR IN COMBINATION WITH A TOTAL ENERGY PLANT.
