A SURVEY BY THE DEUTSCHE TIEFKUHLINSTITUT EV, COLOGNE, SHOWS THAT THE CONSUMPTION OF FROZEN FOODS STILL INCREASED IN THE MAIN WESTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES DURING 1983. COMPARED TO THE PRECEDING YEAR, CONSUMPTION PER CAPITA INCREASED THE MOST IN FRANCE, WITH 13.1%, THEN IN SWITZERLAND (11.3%), AND DENMARK (11.2%). AS FOR OVERALL CONSUMPTION IN 1983, SWEDEN IS AT THE FIRST RANK WITH 20.1 KG PER CAPITA, FOLLOWED BY GREAT BRITAIN (18.5 KG) AND DENMARK (17.0 KG), THEN BY THE NETHERLANDS (13.9 KG), NORWAY (11.9 KG), SWITZERLAND (11.8 KG), FRANCE (11.2 KG) AND THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY (10.1 KG).
