The cooling performance evaluation of a micro-trigeneration system.

Summary
In this paper, an exergy cost analysis method based on the structural theory of thermo-economics is applied to assess the cooling performance of a gas-fired micro-trigeneration system, which uses a gas engine and a small-scale adsorption chiller. A thermo-economic model is proposed to quantify the productive interaction between components. The distribution of the resources and costs of all flows in the production structure are calculated by solving a set of equations based on the experimental data. The results show the micro-trigeneration system is efficient in utilizing the low-grade waste heat.
