Summary

In the study, the problem of the exo-irreversible refrigerating Carnot cycle optimization in the conditions of a given refrigerating power and of a thermal total imposed conductance is examined. On the basis of energy and entropy balances, the minimum value of the necessary capacity is pointed out, corresponding to the maximum COP of the cycle. It is demonstrated that in this situation the generating of entropy due to the external irreversibility of the cycle is minimal and the conductances of the vaporizer and of the condenser become equal.
