Summary

The analysis is performed of the features of nucleation in two-component metastable systems in comparison with one-component ones. In this case diffusion becomes the main dissipative mechanism, dominating over viscosity for large enough sizes of a critical nucleus or near the phase equilibrium curve. This results in a new temperature dependence in the exponent for the quantum tunnelling probability. In superfluid liquid the nucleation feature is the drastic sensitivity of the metastable phase lifetime to the presence of the small impurity concentration.
