Summary

A dynamic and thermal study of Herschel-Bulkley fluid flow in an annular space with a rotating inner cylinder, is investigated. It clearly identifies the effect of transition on the distribution of velocities, hydrodynamic stability and heat transfer. When the rotating cylinder is equipped with scraper blades, thermal transfer is greatly increased and thermodependent behaviour is no longer observed.
