Summary

The Dutch government has signed an environmental protection covenant with the energy industry. Three projects developed by Eneco are briefly described below. The largest district heating absorption project in Europe has been completed at Rotterdam University Hospital. Distribution is the strength of an energy company. Studies into cold distribution are currently at an advanced stage. A cold storage system in the centre of The Hague will provide environmentally friendly cooling for a part of the city. In Rotterdam, a study is under way into an industrial cooling and freezing distribution system for the largest fruit pier in the world.
