Summary

The paper presents two alternative air conditioning systems of ? hospital operating theater – a decentralized and a centralized system. To assess the energy evaluation of those systems, the annual demand of primary energy for the thermodynamic air treatment was defined and determined. A simulation model of air conditioning systems working throughout the year based on climate data in the form of TRY (Test Reference Year) was formulated as a tool of an analysis. Dynamic optimization methods with the hourly time step were applied to determine energy optimal control algorithms. A decentralized system was finally demonstrated as an energy optimal system based on annual primary energy demand as a criterion, in which energy optimal control is implemented by acceptable tolerance ranges of relative humidity.
