Summary
The cooling load calculation, in its part concerning solar radiation through the window when there is a shadow from overhangs and fins, based on German standards, has a lot of approximations. As this way of calculation is used very often, comparison has been done with a more precise Method of the Negative Cooling Load, established at Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Belgrade. Comparisons have shown that results according to the German standard do not differ significantly from the accurate values, beside many simplifications.
