Summary

The IEA -Heat Pump Center (HPC) was established in 1982 under the "IEA Implementing Agreement for a Programme of Research and Development on Advanced Heat Pump Systems". The center is operated by Novem in Sittard, the Netherlands. The Center focuses on heat pump and related technologies. Main activities are information service and knowledge transfer. Involvement of the private sector including utilities, is strongly encouraged. Participants of the HPC are 8 leading countries in the field of heat pump development and applications. Through stimulating and facilitating international collaboration, the HPC is in a position to speed up the intelligent heat pump systems.
