The influence of adaptation on discomfort caused by air pollution.
Author(s) : GUNNARSEN L.
Summary
States that dissatisfaction decreases during the first few minutes of exposure to indoor pollution such as human bioeffluents and environmental tobacco smoke. Considering this, it appears to be a strict criterion for dimensioning ventilation, that people should perceive the air to be acceptable immediately on entering a space from outdoors (theatre, lecture halls, etc).
