Summary
The CSC is the oldest and certainly most important international convention governing container trade. All of the over-20 million containers in use ?re required to carry ? CSC Approval Plate. The positive result of this Convention is evident: container transport is ? sector of human activity with ?n extremely low accident rate, despite the fact that such containers weigh up to 30 tons and offer multiple possibilities for handling failures that might lead to severe incidents.
