Summary

AN ESTIMATION OF THE DEPENDENCE OF THE LORENTZ FUNCTION L(T) ON THE TEMPERATURE OF ALUMINIUM IN THE RANGE 4.2 TO 45 K FOR SAMPLES OF DIFFERENT CHEMICAL PURITY WITH NEUTRON IRRADIATION AND PLASTIC DEFORMATION. THE DOMINANT CONTRIBUTION OF ELECTRON SCATTERING TO THE THERMAL VIBRATIONS OF A 6N PURITY ALUMINIUM CRYSTAL LATTICE AND TO THE POINT DEFECTS AND DISLOCATIONS IN 3N PURITY ALUMINIUM IS ESTABLISHED.
