The matching problem on the modelling of vapour compression systems: a tool to analyze the system behaviour.

Summary

A study of the validity of the set of equations which form the model of a refrigeration system is presented. The conditions that the existence of some key components, such as the thermostatic expansion valve, orifice expansion device and the liquid receiver, are taken into account and fully discussed. For the purpose of the study, simplified models are considered for every component, relating the flow parameters and refrigerant properties. Finally a sample of a parametric study performed with the described method is presented.
