Summary
The new Octagon series of semihermetic reciprocating piston compressors have variable cylinder diameters but only one stroke. All compressors therefore have the same shafts and piston rods. For the necessary stroke volumes an engine with an eccentric shaft is sufficient. All cooling applications (cooling, freezing, air conditioning) can be realized with only one compressor design. Regarding performance, quietness, tightness and noise, the new compressors fulfill the most stringent requirements.
