THE NEW SOLAR ABSORPTION COOLING PLANT OF CERIT, PORDENONE, ITALY.

Summary

A 400 M2 INSTALLATION WITH EVACUATED TUBULAR COLLECTORS AND AN EQUAL SURFACE OF REFLECTORS WAS DESIGNED FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING OF THE CERIT BUILDING AT PORDENONE, ITALY. 40 M3 OF HEAT STORAGE AT 353-363 K (80-90 DEG C) AND 200 M3 OF COLD STORAGE ARE ENVISAGED. SELECTION OF THE COLLECTORS WAS DECIDED AFTER A SERIES OF TESTS ON DIFFERENT MODELS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET. THE ADVANTAGES COMPARED TO FLAT PLATE COLLECTORS WERE CALCULATED. CONTROL AND THE STAGES OF THE UNDERTAKING ARE DESCRIBED.
