IN SMALL SYSTEMS WITH A CAPILLARY TUBE, THE COMPRESSOR FREQUENTLY STARTS AND STOPS. AFTER THE STOP, THE PRESSURES OF THE CONDENSER AND OF THE EVAPORATOR ARE IN EQUILIBRIUM. WHEN THE COMPRESSOR STARTS AGAIN, THERE IS A REACTION TIME BEFORE THE REQUIRED PRESSURES OF THE CONDENSER AND OF THE EVAPORATOR ARE RECONSTITUTED. THE AUTHORS HAVE STUDIED THE OPERATION OF A 3,48 KILOWATT PLANT AND, PARTICULARLY, THE INFLUENCE OF THE REFRIGERANT MIGRATION, DURING THE STOP, ON THE PRESSURE, TEMPERATURE AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS INDICATE THAT IF THE REFRIGERANT MIGRATION IS AVOIDED, THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION CAN BE REDUCED BY 4% AND THE PEAK VALUE OF THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY 9.4%. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY CAN BE INCREASED.
