The performance of an ammonia-water absorption refrigerating plant with a regenerative heat exchanger.

Author(s) : PORNEALA S., PORNEALA C.

Type of article: Article

Summary

The paper presents an original method for the thermal calculation of the plant investigated. It takes into consideration the conditions necessary for the absorption processes by using only undercooled solutions in the absorbers. It emphasizes the degrees of freedom: the degassing zone and the temperature difference necessary for the absorption processes in the Ab2 absorber as well as their influence on the COP and energy efficiency. The paper also presents the influence of the temperature of each of the three sources on the plant performance.
