Summary

We validated the control characteristics and power-saving effect of the variable cooling water flow rate control which is one of the power-saving technologies used for absorption chiller. As a result, it was confirmed that the actual operation position are almost identical to the control characteristics. The pump power consumption is theoretically proportional to cube of the cooling water flow rate, but it was confirmed that actual condition is proportional to roughly 2.5th power of the cooling water flow rate. The power consumption was reduced about 64 % compared with the case without the variable cooling water flow rate control in this measurement period.
