Author(s) : SEMASHKO V.
Summary
Since 1964, 3 Russian institutions have carried out research on controlled-atmosphere storage: "Giproniselprom", Michurin Research Institute of Horticulture, and Research Institute of Gas Utilization. Experiences with a number of commercial controlled-atmosphere stores throughout the former USSR since 1975 are described. Finally, reasons for the use of the open-flame oxygen burner in commercial controlled-atmosphere stores are given.
