Summary

The easiest way to comply with the essential requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive is the use of harmonized standards (for refrigerating systems and heat pumps: EN 378). This standard is being revised to act as a complete harmonized standard under the Directive. The current status of the draft revision of the EN 378 and the Dutch national rules is further explained in this paper.
