States the Approved Code of Practice applies to the risk of legionellosis in circumstances where the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 applies. It gives practical guidance on the requirements of the Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988 with regard to the risk of legionellosis. Does not address the technical aspects of controlling the risk. Section headings are: introduction, identification and assessment of risk, preventing or minimising the risk from exposure to Legionella, management and the selection, training and competence of personnel, record keeping, responsibilities of designers, manufacturers, importers, suppliers and installers.
