Summary

The design of scroll technology confers many advantages: greater volumetric efficiency, quieter functioning, less vibration and more compact plant. In this context, the author looks into the possibility of using "Compliant Scroll" technology as a possible alternative to the best reciprocating compressors and also explores the spin-offs in refrigeration applications.
