Summary

The article presents recent investigation on the operation of chilled ceiling systems in four office buildings with the aim of providing guidance on the design and operation of this maturing technology. The study has clearly demonstrated that chilled ceilings and beams have been effective in the buildings investigated. Condensation control may still be necessary where very high occupancy levels occur, such as in meeting rooms.
