Summary

THROUGH A LITERATURE RESEARCH, AN EXTENSIVE MEASUREMENT PROGRAMME AND THE DESIGN OF A CALCULATION MODEL, DATA HAS BEEN PRODUCED WHICH CAN BE USED IN THE DESIGN PRACTICE FOR BUILDINGS AND CLIMATE-INSTALLATIONS, LOOKING AT THE APPLICATION OF VENTILATED FACADES. THE EXPERIMENTAL SET-UP ALLOWED 5 PARAMETERS TO BE VARIABLE: WINDOW HEIGHT, CAVITY WIDTH, LOCATION OF THE AIR SUPPLY, SUNBLINDS, AIR FLOW AND 2 PARAMETERS DEFINING CLIMATE CONDITIONS: OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE AND SUN RADIATION.
