Summary

HAVING BRIEFLY EXPOSED THE SOURCES OF ERRORS WHICH RESULT FROM THE STRAY HEAT TRANSFERS BETWEEN THE MEDIUM, THE THERMOMETRIC SENSOR AND THE ENVIRONMENT, THE AA. PRESENT A SIMPLES THEORETICAL SCHEME IN ORDER TO EVALUATE THESE ERRORS IN THE STEADY-STATE REGIME. TWO THEORETICAL STUDIES ARE PRESENTED FOR THE ESTIMATION OF THESE ERRORS IN THE TRANSIENT REGIME. THESE STUDIES SHOW UNAMBIGUOUSLY THE INFLUENCE OF THE THERMOPHYSICAL AND GEOMETRICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MEDIUM AND THE SENSOR. IT IS ALSO SHOWN THAT FOR CONDUCTIVE MEDIUMS THE CONTACT THERMAL RESISTANCE BETWEEN THE THERMOMETRIC SENSOR AND THE MEDIUM HAS A MAJOR INFLUENCE ON THE MEASUREMENT ERROR AND THE RESPONSE TIME. FINALLY THESE STUDIES ALLOW US TO DEFINE A VALIDITY FIELD FOR THE SIMPLE STEADY-STATE SCHEME IN THE CASE OF THE TRANSIENT REGIME.
