Theoretical and experimental analyses of cooling towers.
Author(s) : SÖYLEMEZ M. S.
Summary
The paper presents a quick method for estimating the size and performance of forced draft countercurrent cooling towers. A practical and realistic iterative technique is introduced and compared with experimental results. The predictions appear to be helpful to designers of cooling towers. An interactive computer code is developed for illustrating the theoretical predictions. Experimental results obtained, together with those available in the current literature, were used to validate the prediction formulations developed.
